Who are we?
We are a GP Practice which provides comprehensive healthcare services for patients. We are unique from other practices as we offer GP appointments from 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday and from 8 am to 7 pm on weekends and bank holidays. Patients do not have to take time away from work or bring children to appointments during school time. Our Practice Nurse also holds an evening clinic until 7 pm on a Thursday for patients who cannot attend appointments at other times.
We are run by Herts Urgent Care, a not-for-profit Social Enterprise and a Community Benefit Society which provides outstanding healthcare services to the people of Hertfordshire. Herts Urgent Care also operates the Out of Hours Service across Hertfordshire along with the highly successful NHS 111 service for Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Where are we located?
We are located within Hemel Hempstead General Hospital which means patients benefit from easy access to the practice with free parking, wheelchair and pushchair access. We also share our main reception with the Urgent Treatment Centre which is open from 08:00 to 22:00 seven days a week.
How do I register as a patient?

We are currently accepting new patients from all over West Hertfordshire. If you are unsure whether you can register please go to the New Patients Tab for more information on how to register.
How do I register for on line services?
You can register for on line services by clicking on one of the images below and clicking on the "register for on line services" button. You will be asked to complete a form and submit it. Once received the practice will send your username and password through the post, via email or via text message depending on your preferences.
How am I seen if I am not registered?
If you are not registered at the practice and would like to be seen as a walk-in patient please go to the main Urgent Treatment Centre/West Herts Medical Centre reception and ask to see a doctor. You will be booked in to be seen and sent to the practice to wait for the next available appointment slot.
Please note: You may have to wait for some time to be seen as walk-in patients appointments are given around existing registered appointments. If you feel you cannot wait please let a member of staff know.
