At West Herts Medical Centre we are able to draw on a host of expertise and support from within Herts Urgent Care. Amongst the services we benefit from is access to a wide selection of doctors who are all vetted and approved through Herts Urgent Care's clinical recruitment team.
Herts Urgent Care has many years of providing excellent healthcare to residents of Hertfordshire through the Out of Hours service and more recently through the NHS 111 service. By having local doctors working for us we can shape the care we deliver for people in Hertfordshire and beyond.
Doctors working for West Herts Medical Centre have gone through a lengthy induction and validation process in order for them to work for us. A lot of our doctors also work in the Out of Hours Service as well as working in their own practices. This means that they have a wealth of local knowledge and understanding of local services.
All non-clinical staff are expected to complete mandatory training in many areas such as safeguarding, infection control, confidentiality and their training is reviewed each year to ensure it is up to date.
There are a core of regular doctors working at the practice who provide excellent healthcare for walk-in and registered patients alike.
If you have seen one of the doctors and would like to find out when they are next working please speak to the doctor or a member of the practice team to find out more. Where possible we will try to accommodate requests to see a particular doctor. There may be times when the doctor you wish to see does not have another session booked for a number of weeks. Where this happens we will, with your agreement, book you with an alternative doctor.
